Environmentally - Friendly Halogen - Free Flame Retardant
XF - X2000
APP(II) belongs to the phosphorous - nitrogen - based intumescent inorganic flame retardant series. Among them, X2000 is a high - polymerization crystalline type - II polyphosphate product without activation or encapsulation treatment. This product has a high content of P and N flame - retardant elements, good thermal stability, near - neutral property, and is non - toxic with low smoke. It is not restricted by the EU RoHS Directive and REACH regulations. It combines with other gas sources and carbon sources to achieve intumescent flame - retardant effects through char - forming.

Characteristics & Application
- Good thermal stability.
- Small viscosity and good dispersibility.
- Low water solubility, good anti - exudation and anti - migration properties.
- High purity of type - II structure.
- High polymerization degree (n≥1000), narrow molecular weight distribution range, and extremely low content of low - polymer substances.
- Excellent particle size distribution.
X2000 is a non - melamine - modified APP(II) product and is also the most basic product, which can meet most application fields. It is especially recommended for intumescent coatings.
1. Intumescent Coatings
X2000 has low water solubility and is particularly suitable as the acid source for intumescent coatings. Other important components of intumescent flame - retardant coatings include the liquid phase (such as acryli acid, like octadecanoic acid), gas sources (such as melamine), etc. After contacting the flame, the intumescent flame - retardant coating forms a char layer on the surface, effectively preventing the increase in the temperature of the underlying material. X2000 is applied to intumescent coatings with the following effects:
- Steel Structure Materials: Reach the fire protection grade specified in DIN 4102, GB14907.
- Wood or Plastics: Reach the B1 grade of building materials specified in DIN 4102 / UL94 V - 0.
- Adhesives or Sealants: When the addition amount of X2000 is about 10% - 20%, it can bring good flame - retardant effects.
2. Polyurethane Foam Materials
X2000 is a halogen - free flame retardant suitable for polyurethane foam materials. It is not suitable to use X2000 in solid form. It is recommended to be formulated into XXC - FR - X2000 / polyol suspension for use. Meanwhile, since X2000 has a relatively low acid value, it can also be formulated into XXC - FR - X2000 / isocyanate suspension for use. To prevent the suspension from sedimentation, the suspension needs to be stirred or the suspension is in motion. Using XXC - FR - X2000 can achieve the following classification grades:
- PU Rigid Foam Materials (Density > 30kg/m³): DIN 4102 - B2.
- PU Rigid Skin Foam Materials (Density > 200kg/m³): DIN 4102 - B2 / UL94 V - 0.
- PU / Polyester Soft Foam Materials (Density > 30kg/m³): FMVSS 302 - SE / UL94 HF1.
3. Other Applications
X2000 can also be widely used in other fields:
- Paper and Wood Products: When the addition amount of X2000 is about 15% - 20%, reach DIN 4102 - B1.
- Epoxy Resin: UL94 V - 0.
- Unsaturated Resin: UL94 V - 0.
