PA - Specific Halogen - Free Flame Retardant

XF - 8501A

 
is a phosphorus - nitrogen composite halogen - free flame retardant, compliant with ROHS requirements. When the polyamide resin with added XF - 8501A flame retardant is heated or burned, a layer of porous carbon layer will form on the surface of the resin, which can insulate heat, isolate oxygen, and prevent dripping. This flame retardant can also inhibit smoke generation, without producing toxic or corrosive gases. Additionally, XF - 8501A is non - hygroscopic, and has excellent thermal stability and processing performance, making it an ideal high - efficiency environmentally - friendly flame retardant.

Recommended Dosage

The processing temperature should be within 240°C. However, due to the high shearing heat of the screw, to avoid the cumulative heat effect caused by heating and shearing, which may lead to local overheating of the screw and cause the decomposition of XF - 8501A (the thermal decomposition temperature of XF - 8501A is greater than 330°C), the screw combination should have stronger pre - shear at the feeding port to help mix PA and the flame retardant. The post - shear at the feeding port should be appropriate, and the weaker it is under the condition of being able to cut the glass fiber, the better.

This product is suitable for flame - retarding PA and PA66 with glass fiber. Adjust the dosage of the flame retardant according to the amount of glass fiber added. When the glass fiber addition in PA or PA66 is 25 - 30%, the recommended dosage of the flame retardant is 15%; when the glass fiber addition in PA or PA66 is 15%, the recommended dosage of the flame retardant is 20%.
