TPU - Specific
Halogen - free Flame Retardant
XF - 8602E
This product is a phosphorus - nitrogen halogen - free flame retardant specifically developed and compounded for TPU. It achieves flame - retardant effects through char - forming and gas - phase flame - retardant mechanisms. It is mainly used in high - end communication wires and cables, automotive interior wires and cables, TPU leather and products. This flame retardant has undergone high - temperature treatment and coating processes to ensure the ease of operation of the product processing temperature process and the surface smoothness of the finished product. It is free of PH3, anti - blooming, has excellent water resistance and electrical performance.
| Product and Usage Characteristics | Unit | XF - 8602E |
| Phosphorus Content | % | ≥10 |
| Nitrogen Content | % | ≥20 |
| Volatile Matter | % | ≤0.3 |
| Relative Density | g/cm³ | ≤1.3 |
| Average Particle Size (D50) | μm | ≤30 |
| Thermal Decomposition Temperature | °C | ≥280 |
| Recommended Extrusion Temperature | °C | ≤210 |
The processing temperature should be appropriate to avoid the decomposition of the flame retardant due to high temperature. Although the thermal decomposition temperature of this product is greater than 280°C, due to the high shear heat of the screw, if the set screw temperature is too high, the heat - superposition effect caused by heating and shearing is likely to occur, resulting in local overheating of the screw and decomposition of the flame retardant.
